5月15日，世界大学排名中心 (Center For World University Rankings，简称CWUR) 发布了2023年世界大学排名。这份榜单列出了20531所高校和研究机构中的前2000名。
该排名最大的特点是客观性和透明度，在不依赖调查和大学数据提交的情况下，根据以下指标对大学进行评分：
Quality of Education 教学质量 25%
Alumni Employment 校友就业 25%
Quality of Faculty 师资力量 10%
Research Output 研究成果 10%
High Quality Publications 高质量出版物 10%
Influence 影响力 10%
Citations 引用数量 10%

榜单Top10
这次的榜单前十与去年情况基本一致。（第十名有变动，耶鲁把加州理工学院挤下）
榜单前十中，美国占了8所，英国占了2所。依次为：哈佛大学、麻省理工学院、斯坦福大学、剑桥大学、牛津大学、普林斯顿大学、芝加哥大学、哥伦比亚大学、宾夕法尼亚大学、耶鲁大学。
英国院校排名
今年英国有93所院校上榜，比去年的94所少了一个。
剑桥大学连续10年蝉联世界公立大学榜首，同时也是英国大学榜首。
进入前100的英国院校有：
剑桥大学（4）、牛津大学（5）、UCL（19）、帝国理工学院（29）、KCL（40）、爱丁堡大学（48）、曼彻斯特大学（50）、伯明翰大学（84）、布里斯托大学（93）。
澳大利亚院校排名
今年澳洲前百只有墨尔本大学和悉尼大学2所大学上榜！
墨尔本大学位列澳大利亚第一！持续稳坐第一的位置！全球排名第 57 ，比去年提升了一位。
悉尼大学位列世界前 100 ，排名上升 6 位至第 92 位。
新南威尔士大学上升了三位至第 104 位，超越了昆士兰大学的第 105 位。
莫纳什大学在澳大利亚排名第五，全球排名第 121 位。
大多数澳大利亚大学排名上升的主要原因是更好的研究表现。
而澳国立大学是唯一一所倒退的八大，与去年相比下降了四位至第 128 位。
